An assembly tie-down is used to provide direct and strong resistance to shifting by attaching one end of your strap or transport chain to the cargo itself and the other to the trailer heavy machinery or vehicles. Assembly tie downs use direct tie-downs to prevent damage from shifting. If vehicles do not use assembly tie downs to strap cargo then significant damage would occur to the vehicle the moment excessive force was applied to it.
